Future macro-garden sites across Europe
Macro-gardens are traditional common garden trials where seeds are grown to seedlings in a nursery. After 2 to 3 years, seedlings are transplanted to an open-air test site and monitored for several years. These trials will provide complementary data to the micro-garden trials.
22 macro-gardens are being established in spring 2024 across Europe with the participation of universities, research institutes and nurseries.
