The profile
MyGardenOfTrees is looking to complete its team of local coordinators. We are searching for freelancers with training in forestry, with strong skills in communication and solid knowledge of the forest ownership structure in his/her country. Good English communication skills are essential, both written and spoken. Ideally the person would also speak the language of neighbouring countries.
Tasks
The local coordinator's job will be to develop and coordinate a network of ~20–40 foresters (depending on the country/region), who will perform a small field experiment in a forest that they own or manage. The tasks will start as soon as the person is available and will require a 30–40% workload in the most intense phases and 5–10% in others. The work will last for at least 2 years. Note that this is not a job offer, in that we cannot offer a contract, but we will provide compensation on a monthly basis for the hours worked.
